In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Preheat the grill or frying pan over medium heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates.
Cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
During the last couple minutes of cooking, place the burger buns on the grill or pan to toast them lightly.
Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your desired toppings, such as lettuce and tomato.
