  • 1 medium saucepan
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 baking dish (8x8 inch or similar)
  • 1 oven or microwave-safe dish for heating

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces fresh spinach or 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • as needed Tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  • If using fresh spinach, rinse and chop it roughly. If using frozen spinach, make sure it is completely thawed and drained of excess moisture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mozzarella cheese. Mix until well blended and smooth.
  • Stir in the spinach, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is slightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. Feel free to customize the dip by adding different herbs or spices according to your taste. This dip can also be made ahead of time; just refrigerate it before baking and heat as needed when ready to serve. Enjoy!
