Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 grill or frying pan
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 cooking thermometer
  • 1 serving platter

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 12 slices cheese (cheddar or American)
  • various optional toppings (lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, mustard) Customize based on preference.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.
  • Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a small patty, about 2 inches in diameter.
  • Preheat the grill or frying pan over medium heat. If grilling, oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip them and place a slice of cheese on each patty. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the beef reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
  • While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Assemble the sliders by placing each patty on a bun and adding your desired toppings. Serve immediately on a platter.

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Feel free to customize your sliders with different cheeses or toppings based on your preference.
For a vegetarian option, use plant-based patties instead of ground beef.
