- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- lemon wedges for serving
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lime juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss until all shrimp are well coated.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using bamboo skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
Once the grill is hot, place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking.
Remove the skewers from the grill and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
Feel free to add vegetables such as bell peppers or onions to the skewers for added flavor and color.
Adjust the marinade ingredients to suit your taste preferences. More citrus can give a brighter flavor, while additional spices can add heat.
