1 serving platter
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cup bell peppers, diced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
Pour the sauce over the cooked shrimp and stir in the diced bell peppers and julienned carrots. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the peppers are slightly softened.
Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in sliced green onions.
To serve, place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture into a lettuce leaf and wrap it up. Enjoy!
You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables like cucumbers or bean sprouts.
If you prefer a spicier kick, consider adding sriracha or chili sauce to the shrimp mixture.
These wraps can be served with additional cut vegetables on the side for a colorful presentation.
