- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove the skillet from the heat, then add the lemon zest and juice to the shrimp. Toss to combine.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp mixture. If it seems dry, add some reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency. Toss in the fresh parsley and mix well.
