Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 each red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 each green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion, diced red and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables have softened.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  • Serve the dish over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread for a complete meal.

Feel free to add other vegetables such as zucchini or corn for extra nutrients.
For a spicier kick, use spicy sausage or add red pepper flakes.
