Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans refried beans 15 ounces each
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped, optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the refried beans, cream cheese, and sour cream over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the salsa, ground cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bean mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the dip is heated through and bubbly.
  • Once cooked, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish. If desired, garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or fresh bell peppers for dipping.
You can adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or using a spicier salsa.
This dip can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
