Preheat your griddle or skillet over medium heat and add a little butter to coat the surface.
Dip each slice of bread into the pumpkin mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Make sure they are well-coated but not overly soggy.
Place the soaked slices on the hot griddle or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Flip carefully with a spatula.
Remove from heat and repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
