Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.
In another large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the granulated sugar and continue to mix until fully combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Mix in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until fully incorporated.
Gently fold in the sour cream until smooth.
Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with additional orange zest.
