1 oven
1 baking sheet
1 frying pan
1 cutting board
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix about 1 oz
- 1 cup refried beans
- 2 pre-made pizza crusts 10-inch
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped optional
- Sour cream for topping, optional
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the taco seasoning mix according to package instructions. Set aside.
On each pizza crust, spread 1/2 cup of refried beans evenly.
Spread 1/2 cup of salsa over the refried beans on each crust.
Divide the seasoned ground beef evenly between the two pizzas, spreading it over the salsa.
Top each pizza with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Scatter the diced onion, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, and sliced black olives over the cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with sour cream if desired.
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preferences; jalapeños, corn, or avocado can be great additions.
This recipe can easily be made vegetarian by swapping the ground beef for black beans or another meat substitute.
