Fold in the lemon zest and lemon juice gently until evenly distributed in the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the lemon bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional: Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired before slicing.
