- 8 cups kale, washed and dried Remove tough stems and tear into bite-sized pieces.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Rinse the kale thoroughly under cold water. Remove the tough stems and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Use a salad spinner or paper towels to dry the kale completely.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir until well mixed.
Add the kale pieces to the bowl and toss them in the mixture, ensuring every piece is evenly coated.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup (optional). Spread the kale evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the kale is crispy and slightly golden. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Once done, remove from the oven and allow the chips to cool before serving. Enjoy your healthy snack!
Store leftover kale chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days for optimal crispness.
Experiment with different spices, such as cayenne pepper or lemon zest, to customize the flavor to your liking.
