Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk or fork
  • 1 Ziploc bag or shallow dish
  • 1 grill
  • 1 tongs

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 pieces ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, salt, dried rosemary, and dried thyme. Whisk together until well blended.
  • Place the steaks in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the steaks from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade.
  • Place the steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time according to your preference.
  • Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or some fresh herbs to the marinade.
Make sure to let the steaks rest after grilling to ensure they stay juicy.
Serve with your favorite grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
