1 grill or grill pan
1 mixing bowl
1 tongs
1 cutting board
1 measuring spoons
- 1 pound broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese optional
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss well to coat the broccoli evenly with the seasoning.
Carefully place the seasoned broccoli florets on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the broccoli is tender and has nice grill marks.
If you are using lemon juice, drizzle it over the grilled broccoli just before removing it from the grill to enhance the flavor.
Transfer the grilled broccoli to a serving plate. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
Serve warm as a side dish.
For an even tastier dish, you can add other seasonings according to your preference.
You can use fresh or frozen broccoli florets, but make sure frozen ones are thawed and drained before grilling.
Grilled broccoli pairs excellently with grilled meats or as part of a vegetarian platter.
