Ingredients
  

  • 2 whole ripe avocados Ensure the avocados are ripe but not overripe for the best grilling result.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 whole lime Juice of 1 lime (optional) for added flavor.
  • to taste optional fresh cilantro or parsley For garnish (optional).

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  • Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. You can use a spoon to gently scoop out some flesh if desired for a larger opening.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Brush the cut sides of the avocados with the olive oil mixture.
  • Place the avocados cut side down on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until you see nice grill marks and the avocado is warmed through.
  • Remove the avocados from the grill using tongs. If using, squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for added flavor.
  • Optionally, garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley before serving.
  • Serve grilled avocados as they are, or use them as a topping for grilled meats, salads, or tacos.
