Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Cut the loaf of bread into 1-inch cubes and place them evenly in the baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, half-and-half, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all the bread is saturated. Gently push down the bread with a spatula to make sure it absorbs the liquid.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight to allow the bread to soak up the mixture.
Once ready to bake, remove the plastic wrap and place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, and a dusting of powdered sugar for an extra touch.
