  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the 9x13 inch cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, add the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly until you have a smooth batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, dust the top of the cake generously with powdered sugar before slicing into squares and serving.
