Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs total.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, thyme, oregano, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Serve the Creamy Garlic Chicken hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
