Ingredients
  

  • 1 package cranberry-flavored Jello 3 oz package
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce 15 oz can
  • 1 can crushed pineapple 8 oz can, drained
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts optional for extra crunch
  • 1 cup whipped topping thawed

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, dissolve the cranberry-flavored Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
  • Add 1 cup of cold water to the Jello mixture and stir well.
  • Mix in the whole cranberry sauce and drained crushed pineapple. Optional: add chopped walnuts for extra crunch.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.
  • Once the Jello has set, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top.
  • Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in diced apples or mandarin oranges.
You can prepare this salad a day in advance for easy entertaining.
This recipe can be easily doubled for larger gatherings.
