Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce canned or homemade
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno peppers, finely diced adjust based on spice preference
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped optional
  • to taste none salt

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and cranberry sauce. Mix until well blended and creamy. An electric mixer can be used for a smoother texture.
  • Add the finely diced jalapeno peppers and chopped green onions to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until evenly incorporated.
  • Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and the fresh cilantro, if using. Add salt to taste.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Serve immediately with crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced vegetables. Alternatively, you can chill the dip in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, feel free to add more jalapenos or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
If you prefer a milder dip, use pickled jalapenos instead of fresh.
This dip can be made a day ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Mix well before serving.
