Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz. pretzel rods (or pretzel twists)
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Optional, for thinning the chocolate.
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles Optional.
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts Optional.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil (if using).
  • Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  • Hold each pretzel by one end and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s coated evenly up to your desired height.
  • Gently shake off any excess chocolate.
  • Place the dipped pretzel on the prepared baking sheet.
  • If desired, sprinkle colorful sprinkles or crushed nuts on the chocolate before it sets.
  • Repeat the dipping process with the remaining pretzels.
  • Once all pretzels are dipped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate has fully set.

Notes

You can customize your pretzels by using white chocolate, dark chocolate, or flavored melting chocolates.
Store the pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
