Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  • Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low.
  • Stir in the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese, and continue stirring until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and gently stir to coat the pasta in the cheesy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

You can add vegetables like spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or peas for added flavor and nutrition.
For a protein boost, consider adding grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp.
This dish is best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.
