Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional) Can be added based on preference.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until combined and heated through.
  • If using, add the frozen mixed vegetables to the meat mixture and stir to combine.
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the meat and vegetable mixture evenly on the bottom.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the meat mixture.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize this casserole by adding different vegetables or spices according to your taste.
For a spicy kick, consider adding some diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the meat mixture.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
