- 1 large French baguette About 12 inches long.
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese About 4 ounces.
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese About 4 ounces.
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Softened.
- 2 cloves garlic Minced.
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise, creating two long halves.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended to create a garlic butter spread.
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette halves.
In another bowl, mix the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese together. Sprinkle the cheese mixture generously over the garlic butter spread on each half of the baguette.
Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is slightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into pieces to serve.
Feel free to add other toppings such as diced jalapeños, cooked bacon bits, or chopped herbs for extra flavor.
This bread can be served warm or at room temperature and pairs well with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
