Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.5 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, garlic powder, and sugar.
  • Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into strips using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
  • Place the breadsticks on the baking sheet and brush them with melted butter. If desired, sprinkle with Italian herbs.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the breadsticks generously.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dip for extra flavor.
Feel free to experiment by adding different toppings, such as crushed red pepper flakes or additional herbs.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
