Equipment

  • 1 large skillet or griddle
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 knife
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef (80/20 mix)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced
  • to taste ketchup
  • to taste mustard
  • optional lettuce and tomato for garnish

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Form the beef mixture into 12 equal-sized patties.
  • Place the patties on the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until browned. Flip the patties and top each with a slice of cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.
  • While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the slider buns in the oven or on a separate skillet until golden brown.
  • Assemble the sliders by placing each cheeseburger on a bun. Add pickles, ketchup, mustard, and any optional toppings like lettuce and tomato as desired.
  • Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!
