Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature for the best mixing results.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until it is creamy and light in color (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, about a cup at a time, mixing well after each addition until the sugar is completely incorporated and the mixture is fluffy.
  • Pour in the milk and vanilla extract, and add a pinch of salt. Beat on medium speed until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk; if it’s too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
  • Once you achieve the desired consistency, you can use the frosting immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use.
  • Optional: Add food coloring for various colors or incorporate cocoa powder or additional extracts for flavor variations.
