buffalo chicken sliders

These Buffalo Chicken Sliders are a perfect blend of spicy, tangy, and creamy flavors, served on soft slider buns. They make for a great appetizer or a casual meal for game day or gatherings.

  • 1 strainer
  • 1 baking dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken from rotisserie or boiled
  • 3/4 cup Buffalo wing sauce adjust to taste for more or less heat
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing can substitute with blue cheese dressing for a different flavor profile
  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • as needed lettuce leaves for serving, optional
  • as needed olive oil for greasing

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the mixture over low to medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  • Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in the greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the Buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the buns evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken mixture, followed by the sliced green onions.
  • Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders.
  • Serve warm with lettuce leaves if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of Buffalo sauce to taste for more or less heat.
Feel free to substitute ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing for a different flavor profile.
These sliders can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking. Just increase the baking time slightly if they are cold from the fridge.
