- 1 pre-made pie crust pie crust store-bought or homemade
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the pre-made pie crust in the 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Gently fold in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
For added flavor, consider adding nuts like walnuts or pecans into the batter before baking.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra special treat.
Leftover pie can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm.
