In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh blackberries and muddle them gently until they are broken down and juices are released.
Add the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker with the muddled blackberries.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and cover it. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine all ingredients and chill the mixture.
Strain the mixture into glasses filled with ice. You can use a fine-mesh strainer if you prefer a smoother drink without blackberry seeds.
Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a few fresh blackberries on top.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
If you like a sweeter cocktail, feel free to add more simple syrup according to your taste.
You can substitute the tequila with vodka for a different flavor profile, although it won’t be a traditional margarita.
