Equipment

  • 1 Wok or large frying pan
  • 1 Cooking spoon or spatula
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Measuring spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups bean sprouts Approximately 400g.
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Optional.
  • salt To taste.
  • pepper To taste.
  • 2 pieces green onions Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly under cold water and drain them well. Set aside.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  • Add the bean sprouts to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until they are tender but still crisp.
  • Pour the soy sauce and sesame oil (if using) over the bean sprouts. Stir well to coat evenly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, cooking for another minute.
  • Remove from heat and transfer the stir-fried bean sprouts to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

You can add other vegetables, such as carrots or bell peppers, for added color and nutrition.
This dish pairs well with rice or can be served as a topping for noodles.
For a protein boost, consider adding tofu or shrimp during the stir-frying process.
