Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the refried beans with half of the salsa until well mixed.
  • On a baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in a single layer.
  • Spoon the bean mixture evenly over the tortilla chips.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the beans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute.
  • Drizzle the remaining salsa over the nachos.
  • Top with sour cream, diced green onions, jalapeños (if using), and chopped cilantro (if using).
  • Serve immediately on a serving platter.

Notes

Feel free to customize this recipe by adding other toppings such as diced tomatoes, black olives, or avocado.
For a spicier kick, use pepper jack cheese or add hot sauce to the bean mixture.
Leftover nachos can be refrigerated, but they are best enjoyed fresh.
