Ingredients
  

  • 1 can refried beans 15 oz can
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the refried beans, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the tortillas one at a time, warming them for about 1 minute on each side until they are pliable.
  • On each warm tortilla, spoon about 1/4 of the bean mixture in the center. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, diced avocado, and a drizzle of lime juice.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to enclose all the ingredients.
  • Place the burritos seam-side down in the frying pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden, then turn and repeat on the other side.
  • Remove from the pan and allow to cool slightly. Slice in half and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
  • You can customize your burrito by adding other ingredients such as bell peppers, corn, or jalapeƱos.
  • Leftover burritos can be wrapped in foil and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on a skillet before serving.
