Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them get extra crispy during cooking.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated.
Place the chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them.
Cook the wings for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
Once cooked, check that the wings are at least 165°F (74°C) internally. If using a wing sauce, toss the cooked wings in the sauce while they are still hot.
Serve the wings hot, garnished with fresh herbs or celery sticks if desired.
