Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 baking tray optional

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
  • to taste unit favorite wing sauce for tossing after cooking, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them get extra crispy during cooking.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated.
  • Place the chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them.
  • Cook the wings for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
  • Once cooked, check that the wings are at least 165°F (74°C) internally. If using a wing sauce, toss the cooked wings in the sauce while they are still hot.
  • Serve the wings hot, garnished with fresh herbs or celery sticks if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you may increase the air frying time by 2-5 minutes.
You can try different marinades or sauces to create various flavors (e.g., buffalo, barbecue, teriyaki).
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
