1 air fryer
1 large mixing bowl
1 cooking spray
1 spatula
1 serving platter
- 8 ounces tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 jalapeño sliced (optional)
- 1 avocado diced optional
- ½ cup sour cream for serving (optional)
- fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the tortilla chips, black beans, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Toss gently to combine.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Add half of the nacho mixture to the air fryer basket, spreading it out evenly. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and add the sliced jalapeños if using.
Air fry the nachos for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Remove the basket and transfer the nachos to a serving platter. Repeat the process with the remaining nacho mixture.
Once all the nachos are cooked, drizzle with salsa and top with diced avocado, sour cream, and fresh cilantro if desired.
Feel free to customize your nachos with additional toppings like olives, diced tomatoes, or ground beef.
To make them spicier, add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
