In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight depression in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place each burger patty in the basket, making sure they're not touching.
Cook the patties in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes. Flip them halfway through cooking for even browning. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; they should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
If desired, add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last 2 minutes of cooking to melt.
Remove the burgers carefully with a spatula and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
Assemble the burgers with your choice of lettuce, tomato, and condiments on the hamburger buns. Serve immediately.
