Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium russet potatoes About 8 ounces each.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing the potatoes.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Optional.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional.

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.
  • Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  • Brush each potato with olive oil, ensuring they are coated evenly.
  • Sprinkle sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder over the potatoes, rubbing it in to enhance flavor.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the prepared potatoes into the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through for even crispiness.
  • Check if the potatoes are done by inserting a fork or skewer into the center; it should glide in easily without resistance.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the potatoes from the basket using tongs and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serve the baked potatoes with toppings such as butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, or bacon bits for a satisfying dish.
